Habibi Yah Habibi - חביבי יה חביבי




This song originates from the Middle East and is sung by all sects of Sephardic Judaism. In fact, thanks to the musician Yossi Piamenta z"l, aka the Jewish Jimmy Hendrix, this song became known even amongst the Ashkenazim. It has a classic middle eastern melody and is sung on all happy occasions. The maqam is kurd.
